Can anyone give me any ideas with this question - I know how we as a setting try to encourage positive behaviour and I have written about that but Im not sure how to or which theory to link it to??? if that makes sense

Principles of supporting positive behaviour in children based on different theoretical perspectives

Thank you

How about:

Skinner - Operant Conditioning

Erikson- predetermined stages linked to social aspects

Piaget - predetermined stages linked to cognitive dev.

Bandura - behaviour influenced by environmental factors (did the bobo doll experiment)

Vygotsky - positive social interaction can change behaviour.

They can all be found if you google the names. Hope that helps.

I know what you mean. When I did my DPP I found it hard to remember which theorist had what theory. Once I got into it I found it really interesting though and very relevant to my practical work. Good luck with the course work.
