Guest
I remember reading a chapter about super hero play in "The Excellence of Play " by Janet Moyles (2nd edition) Can't remember exactly the details so not sure how helpful it will be! I would also imagine that a subject like this will have cropped up previously - have you tried checking through the past forums? Otherwise I'm sure others will come along and offer further help! Guest
Look in Early Childhood Practice journal 1999, vol 1, no 1 ('zero tolerence, intolerance') Nursery World and for a book called some thing like ' we don't play with gun here' , all by Penny Holland. She wrote lots about her research on super hero play. There will be other helpful titles in the references.
