Year 1 Teachers- Planning

This is my first term in Year 1 after being in reception. I would like to know what your medium term planning look like as unsure which format to use.

Has your school not got a format that everyone uses? I'd hate to think you had worked hard to devise something that has already been decided upon.

Not really they just jot down the activites for the topic in a spider diagram and write the NC outcomes next to the activity. I prefer to have a detailed medium term plan, I like to see what Im doing when. Maybe its just because Im not used to the new schools way of planning.

In that case I would suggest that you make your MT plan in the same way as everyone else and then for your own use make yourself a pacer, a simple chart/table with each week and subject that you can plot the activities/content into. This will allow you to see the detail that you like and fulfil the planning requirements of the school without overburdening you.
