Guest
I did a Google search putting in the words early years PLOD. It gave me a link to the TES site with a discussion about planning and PLODs. You can find it here. Linda
Guest Wolfie
PLODs are Possible Lines Of Development - ideas about how you can move the child's learning and development forward from things that you have observed them doing currently. millhill
We use Plods to plan for next steps in children's learning. The main focus is the child's interests. The format I use is on the EYFS CD, I made it into a word document which is attached. You just need to put in the activities planned for the child in six FS/ fourB23 areas boxes and brief summaries of observations in the circles. One circle is for suggested activities at home. The plod is shared with parents so they can make their contributions to the planned activities. We handwrite our plans so no example of a completed one (sorry), however, there is an example on the EYFS CD. millhill
Keen, here's the link to the website version: http://www.standards.dfes.gov.uk/eyfs/reso...3-4yearolds.pdf To access files on the cd, you need to right click and go to 'explore', rather than autoplay. However, all documents are also on the resources part of the website. http://www.standards.dfes.gov.uk/eyfs/site...ource/index.htm Hope this helps.
