I'm really fond of the name Patrick and I would have loved to have had a son called Gil bert shortened to Gil of course I am a very sad Anne of Green Gables fan!! Running Bunny Posted January 28, 2008 Share Posted January 28, 2008 Clare - congratulations and pleased that you will have one of each!! It's really hard thinking of names (just been there!) If Eva was a boy, she was going to be Daniel Hayden (my grandad's middle name was Haydon) and Daniel also runs in the family. Other contenders from my list were Jacob, Oliver (although Ollie Collins sounded a bit funny), and Joshua. Personally, I like names that can be shortened so that the child has a choice what they want to be called, which is why Daniel is still a favourite as he could be Danny or Dan as the name seems to 'grow' with the person...
