Guest Posted January 7, 2008 Share Posted January 7, 2008 Does anyone else open for 3hrs each morning? how does your session run i.e What do you do throughout morning roughly as know need flexiblility in this!! timetable etc.. Need to rethink mine and need fresh idea's when to have snack, story, freeplay choosing times etc... Does anyone do it like this or completely differently? Guest Posted January 7, 2008 Share Posted January 7, 2008 Hi Hart Our timetable is a s follows: Daily Timetable 8.30-9.00 Early morning club 9.00-12.00 Main educational session 9.00-9.20 Arrival and registration 9.00-11.00 Free play including: snack small group sessions creative workshop role play-dressing up, home corner sand play water play reading area computer area construction toys jigsaws climbing frame and bikes 11.00-11.10 Tidy up time 11.10-11.30 Sunshine children-activity session Rainbow children-story/singing (two groups) 11.30-11.50 Sunshine children-story/singing Rainbow children-activity session 11.50-12.00 Coats/Home time 11.30-12.30 Lunch club-including story 12.20 Children attending Freshfield nursery leave 12.30 Children attending DR nursery leave Our main session, which the majority of children attend, is 3 hours. For small group sessions the children go into the office in groups of about 6/8 and take part in an activity such as number songs/rhymes, listening to sounds, PSED activities etc. We have 4 groups for these. We do things such as Sticky Kids, gym, band and parachute games during the activity session towards the end of the morning. The children are split into two groups for these. Hope this helps. Guest Posted January 7, 2008 Share Posted January 7, 2008 Our sessions are for 2 1/2 hours but offer lunch club as an extra hour...here is how our daily routine goes- 9.00 Welcome/self-register 9 - 11.15 free play in/out offering...... playdough smallworld construction (large & small) puzzles mark making creative activity adult led activity music computer storytime/singing time painting role play/home corner 10.15 - 11.15 Rolling snack bar 11.15 circle time 11.30 hometime 11.30 - 12.30 lunch club hope this helps Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
