Christmas Song Ideas 'stars'?

:o Can anyone suggest some nice music / song that we can use in our Nativity play. We need it for the 'stars' to perform. I've looked through some of the 'bought' productions we have (nothing grabbed me) and we used the obvious 'twinkle twinkle' last year. I think I've ran out of 'starry inspiration' - any help gladly accepted.

Why not use the old favourite Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Thanks to both ideas.

 

I'd rather not use twinkle twinkle as parents saw the children perform this last year - just looking for something different.

 

We have the Wriggly Nativity (which we really love ) BUT we're not to keen on the star song (may have to go with it in the end)

 

I'll keep searching!!!

I was going to suggest 'Star Shine Bright on our Christmas Tree' from the Nancy Stewart site :

It was on a starry night was one we used to use and my children enjoyed it,

you could also change the words to twinkle twinkle to

 

twinkle twinkle holy star

shephards saw you from afar

up above a stable bare

the baby Jesus lying there

twinkle twinkle holy star

shining brightle from afar
