Guest
Just wondering what the general opinion is on whether to use handwritten or typed (on computer) labels for displays in the classroom. I work in a nursery/reception class and was thinking about this the other day when planning for a new display. Would be grateful to hear what other peoples views are on this and what they use for thier displays. Thanks
Guest tinkerbell
I think a mixture .Computer labels are lovely but I think children do need to see handwriting up there as well.I do try to have at least one display in my classroom handwritten. narnia
I agree........we have a mixture. For instance, all the childrens drawer and coat labels are hand drawn pictures, with hand-written names etc.Much of the display work is hand written too, but some is printed.I think it's good for the children to see adults writing the labels, and some will copy this by making thier own 'written' signs

Guest
We also use a mixture - for the same reasons as outlined by narnia. x
