Guest
Does anyone know the tune to this song?? or can you think of one to use? For those who are not sure how it goes: 5 little snowmen fat, each had a woolly hat Out came the sun and melted one what a sad thing was that! 4,3,2,
dublinbay
5 little snowmen ready to play Ready to play Ready to play The sun came out to warm up the day And (child's name) the Snowman melted away Four little Snowmen.... Three little Snowmen..... etc There is a specific tune to this one although I haven't managed to find out how I would sing it to you over the web!! You could make up your own unless anyone else can help you.

Guest
I've always done this as a spoken rhyme rather than with a tune.
dublinbay
Yes Brenda my daughter is looking at me very strangely as I sing '5 little snowmen' to the tune of '5 currant buns'. It fits in rather well actually.....thanks.
Guest
Hi, I've been getting funny looks as I'm singing to many different tunes.....prob would be ok to 5 currant buns but we already sing this one changing the words to 5 christmas pudds. Keep humming 5 little speckled frogs at the moment. What do you think?
Susan
Why not just chant it?

Guest
Why not just chant it? We did start out chanting the words but it just seemed a little dull and we do like singing at our nursery......it's one of our strong points!!!!!! X-FACTOR here we come! Guest
Oh dear - I know the tune but can't sing it on here! It has a tune all of its own, so I can't even describe it !!!!
Guest
I posted a rhyme card for this in July 2005. If you search my posts you can find it - I don't know how to reattach it here. It might go a little way to make up for the very unhelpful above post
