Susan Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 A google search for twig pencils found alot of twig pencils although lots seemed to be black graphite. This site has coloured ones and maybe some of the others will too?

Guest Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Be careful if you are buying these. We have bought a few sets of pencils like this for our own children and the lead only goes a little way through. MarionD
Guest Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Ah good point to consider then before I buy, especially with 30 children maybe accessing them each day!!
Guest Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Yes. The ones we bought only had about 1cm of lead, even though we were told otherwise! Maybe you'd be better off with chunky, natural wood pencils. What sort of writing opportunities do you have outside? I must admit that I have failed to provide any yet.
narnia Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 I found some on ebay! hopefully they will have a bit more lead in them than yours did, Marion!!
Marion Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 I bought some from Fair Trade and some from Mindstretchers both sets are like normal colouring pencils except in a twig.
Guest Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Hope you don't mind me asking but how much did they cost? Saw some really lovely chunky pencils - very similar to the ones shown on the link in the earlier post - 3 for £5 or £1.50 each - was very tempted to purchase but didn't - am regretting it now!!!!!
