Marion Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 It's usually called TAC (Team Around a Child) and involves all the agencies involved with the child getting together to share information and agree any action needed.
Guest Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 There are usually representatives from all agencies connected with the child. My experience is with a looked after child with special needs. Each person gave a short report from their prospective and written reports were received from any areas not represented. Then any matters arising/ needs were highlighted and plans were made to address these.
Guest Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Excellent thanks Marion and glaidment Have to be honest am pretty nervous so therefore would I need to write up a small report to give them an idea of what this child is like within our setting is that correct?
Guest Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Yes it's often best to have something written down, even if in note form to help you. Also take along any formal records that you have. However from my experience the meetings were fairly informal and relaxed.
Guest Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Lovely thank you now my mind is at rest by the way how's retirement...
Marion Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 I agree with Gail they have always been pretty relaxed. I would take along notes just to remind yourself of what you want to say.
Guest Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Brilliant Thank you for all your help I'll do that as I am sure they will fire some questions at us! Best to be prepared
