Outside Area Planning

Recommended Posts

Posted

We have a chance to refurbish our outside area but, being new to foundation stage, I am not sure what sort of things to buy. I would love to look at some planning for outside areas to do with all the areas of learning so I can see what sort of things to buy. ANY ideas gratefully received...

Thank you

We only just discovered that if you crawl inside our beech hedge you can actually climb all the way to the top which is what was happening on the pictures of the children peeping out

Great pictures Marion. :o

Looking at the weather today, I'm going to be brave next week and have lots of 'wet' play outdoors. Being as its my last few weeks before closing I want to do ALL the things possible with the children before it's too late.

Lovely pictures Marion! The two little boys in the hedge look so innocent (not!).

I caught them both 10 feet up inside the hedge.

"How did you get up there?"

"just put your foot on that bit that sticks out and we'll help you the rest of the way." was the response :o

Does anyone have any ideas of where to get a shelter/canopy from? I have been given a large bugdet to get one as this is one of the main reasons why my outside area is not used fully.

Also do you think a material canopy is best or a plastic one??

Thanks Beth

I've seen adverts for companies who do canopies in all the main early years magazines recently - EYE, Nursery World, etc. You could try there for starters?
