Guest
Hi. This is my first posting, so here goes. I've been looking to buy the BEAM Starting Out folder as a guide to practical activities and guidance. This is my first year in Reception after always teaching Y1/2 and feel I need some more fun and basic ideas. The folder looks good. Has anybody used it? Susan
Hi Lette and welcome. I would agree that that looks like an excellent resource. Unfortunately I have not used it but I have used the Beam Mini Maths Books which are very practical. I also like the Abacus Maths, the foundation stage cf reception stuff is also practical and allows you to make sure you are delivering the NNS content. I assume it would also match up well against the new framework but I would be very hesitant in purchasing anything without discovering that. You can access the Abacus planning at hamiltontrust.org.uk
Helen
Hi Lette, We have a review of this product here. I've seen the Starting Out product, and I thought it was great, particularly if you're new to the Foundation Stage
Guest
Thanks to everybody for your help. I've looked at the review. It does look good, but think I will look at Abacus first.
