Guest
Hi We have very kindly been donated several large tractor tyres for use in our outdoor area. We would love to have sand, pebbles, twigs, grass etc etc in different tyres. Our county grounds manager mentioned today that the tyres would need to be 'treated' first as the Carbon that they let off is potentially cancer causing. He was unsure of what they needed to be 'treated' with. Does anyone have any ideas? Many thanks
Deb
I would be interested to hear this too as we have just installed some in our playground.

Beau
According to the Danes tyres do not pose a risk - the report can be found here.
