Planning Using Story Books

Can anyone help with planning for story books, for example, Going on a Bear Hunt. Would be interested in spider diagrams f anyone uses them? Thanks

We;re going bear hunting tomorrow! I just map out 6 areas on paper and brainstorm everything I can think of on the book eg

 

PSED - beign scared or safe

CLL - join in repeated refrains

MD - sequence story

KUW - use senses to explore grass, snow etc

PD - Fine motor skills - play with mud & water in messy tray

Gross motor - move like the bear, creep through the grass etc

CD - role play story using backgrounds as props

 

I do it all by hand though so can't post my planning, sorry - hope this helps

we love this story, and you can get the book with the cd attached in whsmith or borders, which is great for the children to listen to and re-inact on there own.
