Hi Joules,
I'm not sure what age group you're teaching, but you might be able to try recording (or getting the children to record) on a dictaphone/tape recorder, a series of instructions, eg "Walk three paces forwards, turn towards the door/left, crawl through the tunnel, climb over the bench", etc etc. Keep it really simple!

If you have the use of a digital camera you could go on a shape walk and take photographs of 'shapes' in the environment and then look at them on the computer discussing the shapes that you saw.

Do you have a Pixie or a Roamer programmable robot? These are great for estimating then measuring distances.
