Has anyone a full proof home made wormery? We are doing a topic on Holes and our children are already interested in worms so we would like to make a wormery so they can see the worms making their way through the soil etc. Also any ideas on activities connected with holes would be greatly appreciated. Happy New Year to everyone. :D :D :D :D

I always use a sweet jar - we have a plastic one with a few small holes in the screw top but you could use some net over the top and secure with an elastic band.
Layer sand soil leaves in 4cm bands pop in the worms. Make a cylinder of black paper to fit around the outside or the worms will not come to the glass and you will not see what is going on. spray with water to keep damp but do not soak. Release the worms after a couple of weeks.
