Hello there,
I would like to assess the 3-4 year olds in my nursery class on their recognition of numbers 1-6/1-12. I need a fun activity that will allow me to see quite quickly who can recognise them and who needs help. I want to separate the children into groups of different abilties to make the assessment easier. Any ideas??

Hi Hannah

1-12 is begging to be made into a clock face, perhaps on a paper plate. Just a thought.

My mind not only wanders, it sometimes leaves completely.

I know it's only 1-10 but calculators, tills and telephone key pads in the role play area might be another idea, at least for the 1-6 assessment?

Oooops....I mean 1-9, don't I??
