Transferring 'Tapestry' to another setting

Hi everyone,

I am familiar with the process of transferring an existing 'Tapestry' learning journal to another setting, however was just considering the image consent permissions I would need to be able to do this, I normally ask parents permission to send/receive and ask the parent to contact the other setting to give their permission to send/receive. Every parent also signs an image consent form to appear in other children's learning journals however this covers within our own setting not the receiving setting....

Hope this makes sense! Any advice would be appreciated :)

interesting question...maybe we need to make this clear on the initial sign up? something like when signing up for tapestry we agree to allow the transfer of this data to the childs ongoing school ? rather than just lots of different scenarios (the what to do with it when it gets there must be their responsibility???)

This is interesting...

It is a requirement of our Early Years Funding that we pass on children's learning journals to their next setting (so usually school, unless they move away).  I've just checked our paperwork and we ask permission to obtain records from a previous setting, but don't ask if we can pass ours on.   I'll have to have a think!
