We have just been informed that as part of the two year old barrier fund we are to receive £1500!! To be spent on resources and training as well as other bits including attending social care meetings etc. So what do you all think is the best bit of kit for two year olds? we are very well resourced for 3-4 yrs and we have already thought about purchasing some sensory stuff and treasure baskets but as this age group are new to us we need help! We are also finding that many of those entitled to the funding are entering below expected developmental norms amongst other issues! So please tell me what would you buy with £1500

Thanks

Have to agree with Narnia - outdoor wet weather gear is a must, our 2y olds are mud and water magnets!! Open ended/discovery/ sensory stuff (the favourite at the mo is a mug tree and Christmas decorations - put them on, take them off, put them on.....) , this really doesnt need to be expensive most of ours came from pound stores and qd (although if you want a ready made set have a look at cosy direct) and a good set of cp blocks. Creation of dens, mixing in the mud kitchen are also favourites so resources for these. Also the home corner is so important at this age and a requirement in our county for under 3s, with real life utensils etc.
