Hiya, I may be able to access some funding for Sensory Resources for our babies 0 - 18 months. Currently a charity is funding a taxi each week to take 4 babies at a time to the local Children's Centre to visit their Sensory Room. I would like to re-create something similar for under £500, any ideas? what would you put in it? where would you buy from? any advice, very gratefully received!! Thanks Carla

Not sure I can help with planning a sensory room on such a small budget but TTS and SpaceKraft do lovely sensory equip so maybe you could buy a few key pieces and gradually add more as budget allows or adapt some of their ideas with cheaper or homemade options. Maybe parents could help with things like donating textiles/ materials ?

If you look on the Baby moves website they have some really interesting looking sensory resources, they also do a delux pack for around £40 which I am hoping to purchase. Good luck with your project.

You can make yor own things, sensory bottles, CDs attached to the wall or hanging, fairy lights, textured fabrics, baskets with loads of sensory stuff in, CD player, disco ball, beanbags, cushions, mirrors.

I've been a few and the cost doesnt really have much baring on what the children think of it.
