Level 2 Introduction to Child Protection

Understand how to keep children safe with this Qualifi accredited Level 2 Introduction to Child Protection qualification.

What will I learn?

This accredited Level 2 Introduction to Child Protection and Safeguarding online course will give you extra reassurance that you're providing high-quality safeguarding measures and meeting all EYFS requirements.

It has been accredited by the awarding body Qualifi, meaning the course has been through Qualifi's approval process and that your certificate could be accepted more widely if you are studying an early years Level 2 qualification.

This course provides you with the statutory training required under the EYFS in child protection and safeguarding. It may also count towards you studying for Level 2 Children and Young People or Level 3 Early Years Educator qualifications*.

Simply present your certificate after completing this course to training providers for this to be accepted as part of your programme of study. The accreditation is also valuable evidence of your commitment to high standards at an Ofsted inspection.

There is a final assessment in the form of an interactive test requiring an 80% pass mark to achieve accreditation. If you fail to achieve this mark you can revisit the training and retake the assessment with further randomised questions based on the whole course content.

Course key topics:
• Legislation relating to safeguarding children
• Recognising the signs of abuse and what to do next
• Types of child abuse
