Climate change requirements
The problem is you’re bombarded with so many emails now to read, action, sign up to, answer county surveys, get someone on this or that county training, funding updates, safeguarding partnership updates, EYA updates….….how many unpaid hours are spent reading, replying, actioning emails because you’d never have time at work 😔 -

Climate change requirements
I see the DofE has declared “By 2025, all education settings will have nominated a sustainability lead and put in place a climate action plan”. This includes early years settings, schools, multi-academy trusts, colleges, and universities. (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/sustainability-leadership-and-climate-action-plans-in-education#msdynmkt_trackingcontext=662d9927-17d5-4b7c-9d04-b2cc0ffe0100 And there is training for us e.g. from the Early Years Alliance - I am all for helping our little treasures (and indeed staff!!) to be more climate aware but I have only just heard of this and it is already 2025!! Anyone done any done any of the training? -

Early Maths research
Hi all, My name is Jess Green and I am a PhD student at Loughborough University, my PhD is looking at maths teaching in the early years. I am currently researching the attitudes and beliefs of early years educators (including reception teachers and TAs) towards early maths. This will form part of a research paper that will be published, then with the plan of using the insights from educators to create a professional development program supporting maths teaching in the early years. I would greatly appreciate if you could fill out this 15-20 minute survey that will support this research. https://lborocmc.fra1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_b9tma8PaKRNTPyS Many thanks! Jess Green -
