On the new forum you can filter the content that you see. You will find this very helpful if there are aspects of the forum that you are not interested in, if you are not a Tapestry user for example. You can make your own activity stream if you want to, or you can use one of the custom ones we have made ourselves.

In each case go to the Forum tab, then to the Activity tab, then to 'My activity streams'

Option 1

Select 'Foundation Stage Forum Feed' this will show you everything on the forum, but not Tapestry related content. If this is the right content for you then tick the little 'tick' next to the title and then this will be remembered as the stream you want to see.

Option 2

Select 'Tapestry Feed' this will only show you Tapestry related content. If this is the right content for you then tick the little 'tick' next to the title and then this will be remembered as the stream you want to see.

Option 3

Select 'All Activity' this will show you everything on the forum, including Tapestry related content. If this is the right content for you then tick the little 'tick' next to the title and then this will be remembered as the stream you want to see.

Option 4

You can make your own customised stream that can show you exactly what you want to see:

  • Select 'Create New Activity Stream'
  • Give your stream a title "Rebecca's special stream" (for example!)
  • Click through and choose all the things you want to see, when you come to the 'Content Types' you will see that drop down lists appear, select the things you would like to see (this is helpful when you are looking at the forums, there might be things that you aren't interested in!)
  • Remember to click 'Save Changes'

Once your stream is saved, you can select the title in the list and then tick the little 'tick' next to it and then this will be remembered as the stream you want to see.
