Panders Posted October 2, 2017 Share Posted October 2, 2017 Can I ask how often people do a full Designated Safeguarding Lead course, and what your cycle is after that? How soon do you do a refresher course? How often do your staff do basic training, every 2 years or every 3 and do they do any type of on-going in house up-dates in the meantime. louby loo Posted October 2, 2017 Share Posted October 2, 2017 Designated - 2 staff. each with one half day refresher each year. Safeguarding - every three years on a rolling system. Each time someone does training we have ah 'in house' training (led by ourselves) to update everyone on any changes. All dates are logged on a grid which we keep in our SEF/Ofsted folder.
