Citation - worth the money?

 Share

Recommended Posts

After several lengthy and honestly quite annoying phone calls from Citation I caved and had a meeting with one of their sales guys. He did a good job of the terrifying me that I wasn't compliant and had gaps in my risk assessment. Does anyone use these guys, or similar? Is it worth the money?

TIA

Don't use citation but did have them in for quote and to see if I had anything missing. I am not sure they are worth the money. For H & S think we have pretty much got a good idea of what we are doing. Not to mention that eyfs has in past been quite explicit. We may not have to do risk assessments but we had it drilled into us a while ago so no I don't think so for H & S.

Can't remember do they offer HR too. I use my banks service which is quite expensive but has been worth the cost when I have needed advice on disciplinary issues. But if I remember rightly citation offered that too.

Thanks. Finleysmaid they offer a H&S and HR solution do audits and compliance eg signage, COSSH, risk assessments also training on H&S and manual handling etc. They told me that I need to keep written risk assessments as I employ more than four people. I didn't think I had to. Is this true? What are our responsibilities with regards to H&S and manual handling training please?

I've had a visit/quote from them last year on basis that they are promoted by NDNA and members get a discount - felt the rep was scare-mongering and constantly quizzing how I know what I had in place was correct/up to date. I've not signed up due to cost.

Have seen several reports on another forum that they are expensive in comparison to other companies, and also that if a setting has had an employment issue to deal with, they have come down heavily on side of the employee and not supported employer!
