Restarting Tapestry Apps

Although we work tirelessly to make everything bright and shiny, sometimes apps and the internet can get in a bit of tizzy, and cause some unusual behaviour! It may be necessary to force-quit the Tapestry app and restart it in these situations to restore normality.

Apple devices have a nice straight-forward way of force-quitting:

 

1) Double click the home button below the screen (the one with the little square on it)
2) A list of running apps will appear. Swipe left and right to scroll, until you come across Tapestry
3) Swipe the screenshot of the Tapestry app upwards and off the screen so that it disappears.

4) Once the app has been force-quit you can then go back to the home screen and touch the Tapestry icon to start the Tapestry app again.

 

 

Android and Amazon Fire

 

Androids are now just as simple as Apple devices devices to force-quit:
 
1) Tap the window button below the screen, depending on the device this may differ between an actual button, or an on screen square:

2) A list of running apps will appear. Swipe up and down to scroll, until you come across Tapestry.
 
3) Swipe the screenshot of the Tapestry app left or right and off the screen so that it disappears.

4) Once the app has been force-quit you can then go back to the home screen and touch the Tapestry icon to start the Tapestry app again.
