Looking at specific EYFS areas for an individual child

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Somebody may have the most simplest answer for me (fingers crossed):

On the 'old' Tapestry you used to be able to click on an observation, select what areas had been observed and then click again to find all observations for that individual child for that specific EYFS area you have chosen. For example, I go into Joe Bloggs account, click on an observation, see that PSED Making Relationships has been observed, I can then click on the PSED and select all observations that have that specific area observed for Joe Bloggs.

I haven't found a way of doing the above on the 'new' Tapestry.

I hope that wasn't double dutch I was typing!! Anybody know how to do this?

Thanks.

Hello,

If you go to your children's page and select overview of a child, you can then select 'show all observations (under the most recent observations). From there you can select 'assessments' and then EYFS and then you will be able to select different aspects and statements - this will show you what you are looking for.

Alternatively, Analysis > EYFS > then scroll to the bottom of the page and select 'statement screen'. You can then choose the name of the child and the aspect you want to see - you will be shown an overview of which assessments have been made for which area and when.

Hope this helps

I raised this on a seperate post but didnt get a reply?x

Hello, I can't see your previous post - sorry if you didn't get a response. Don't forget the forum is the place to chat and give and get advice from other users - and I am here 3 days a week - if your issue is pressing and you need an answer the same day then you should use the support ticket system which you can access from your Tapestry home page. Or email customer.service@eyfs.info

My staff cant seem to see the obs n the right hand side anymore when writing reports so they end up with two or three tabs of Tapestry open??x

Rebecca's instruction above does work, even though you go in through an individual child once you select the assessments options it isn't just that child again so remember to then change the filter back to the child you wanted to check...if that makes sense :-/

Ps has anyone else had keyboard problems when typing replies on fsf and messenger since the last iPad update? Mine seems to freeze mid reply sometimes and won't let me select the numbers or symbols keyboard....like now, got as far as numbers and it's stuck on letters again and then I can't close the keyboard and now I will need to save, reopen and paste in a new reply box ....weird

Hi,

I have just tested this on an iPad on the latest iOS and have not experienced the same issue. Are you just having this issue with the FSF website or have you experienced it with other ones as well?

Hi, thanks for reply, no its happening when using messenger as well, seems ok for a bit then suddenly decides not to let me select the numbers board, i haven't updated the older ipad and that's fine, so thought it might be an update issue ...hopefully not the ipad(air2) itself, but still in guarantee if it is.
