Well my first thought is not another b******************** consultation!!!

As for opening at weekends - I doubt it most of my staff team are working parents who would quite like to see their own children at the weekends.

Noooooooooo! We are term time only. Could look at the option of opening all year round but not weekends. Not sure where the staff would come from as our existing staff have young school children themselves.

It's hard enough to recruit and retain a full, well qualified staff team Monday to Friday - the thought of trying to find staff to work 6 - 8 plus weekends gives me a headache. Government would need to up the funding rates big time before I would even consider asking anyone to work weekends.

So given the Governments vision of a flexible stretched offer - when I wonder will our future familes ever get to see one another?

Sad vision. The futures bleak, The futures Parentless......

goodness, so we now we need staff who will work on a zero hours contract (so as to ensure we can gain our 15% of efficiency savings as suggested in the last summary of costings) AND expect these contracts to cover the full week from 6 am to 8 pm including weekends....and all for a pittance of a pay packet? I DONT THINK SO!

Ha Ha! The more you say it, the more ridiculous it sounds eh?

So theoretically, and I'm ducking under the parapet a bit here, if settings have children till 8pm, we would be bathing them and reading a bedtime story and tucking them in by 7, for them to be disturbed by their parents collecting them at 8? Mine were in bed by 6.30 in their pre-school years.

Surely parents want to actually be with their children. Why have them if they are only actually going to see them over night!

The world or rather the government had gone mad

Welcome to the Brave New World......

want a child?......no need to go through the messy procedure of having one yourself.......or clutter your home with toys and toddlers....

We are the Surrogate Motherhood Nursery!

For a very cheap fee (approx Living Wage). we can do it ALL for you!

We will carry your child.......you can name it.......we will care, play and educate your child.....Speech and Language our Speciality!!

Just remember to pop in to kiss your child goodnight - for who knows - one day you might need them to feed and bath YOU!!

Ha! Getting Silly Now!
