Equality and Diversity Policy

Right! Heading towards tick number 4 from this holiday's to do list.

  • Review and publish policies

Ok so i have made a start but have become a little stuck on our Equality and Diversity policy. I've checked our LA's advice but they do not seem to have one. I am guessing that Equality and Diversity is so embedded in practice now that I would find reference to it in almost all policies anyway.

Does anyone have a separate policy like me?

Just in order to be up to date, if you are reviewing policies anyway, you might like to include the promotion of British values, and your settings role under the PREVENT duty (to prevent radicalization and extremism)

Hi All Back on it! I've had a few days flitting back and forth and achieved very little.

Sorry to disappoint but ended up not buying lovely new stationary but radiators and other luxury items for the house.

Anyway I have just update Eq & Div policy and have added the bit below

our ethos of valuing children’s curiosity allows children to think through their own ideas and ask questions not only from adults but from their peers supports the early understanding of democracy and “British Values.”

What do you all think?

I think most of the PREVENT just supports Safeguarding but I'm leaving that til last.

In a newsletter today from my LEA we have been told we need to add British Values and Radicalization to our safegaurding policies.

And it goes on and on and........

I shall print off the PREVENT sheet(s) and stick it in the policy folder and sign as read and understood!!

, Fed up with it :(
