When do you update whole class data ?

Hi

Can anyone give me an idea of when they update their whole class data please. We currently do ours on entry( say end of September, then in oct, Feb and then just before submitting in June for the final profile scores. We were having a discussion if it would be better to update in December, April and then in June for the final profile scores.

End of September, December, February, April then EYFSP.

At the end of each half term, so October (entry data), Dec, Feb, March/April, end of May, June EYFSP, July for transfer to Year 1. This is in line with Key Stage 1 at my school.

We used to track GLD areas half termly and all areas termly, but found that, in the scheme of things, it didn't take a huge amount of extra time to keep track of all areas, and now GLD is nearly all areas anyway!!

We analyse to keep an eye for anyone who appears to have hit a plateau, especially if it is for more than 2 half-terms, to identify any gaps in coverage, and to keep a close eye on children in receipt of pupil premium.
