mackdebs Posted September 12, 2014 Share Posted September 12, 2014 Hi there, My colleague is new to KS1 and has a 1/2 class -30 children in a rather small classroom. There is no outdoor area. Can anyone suggest some good resources for child initiated activites/challenges for the children to do when they have finished their tasks. They have construction, a book corner and a role play area, but at the moment, they are very noisy with these and it is hard for the teacher to concentrate on her group. Wish our feeder school reception teacher thought the same..... grrrrr How about something absorbing and calming....water or tuff spot filled with rice......lots of lovely filling, pouring, measure and volume.
