Yes well deserved result , just as it should have been , personally I think it should have been outstanding considering your grit and determination , sleepless nights and stress you endured . You are truly outstanding Narnia , well done xx and make sure you relax and celebrate and get some sleep !

Had a phone call from a lovely lady this morning, who has just been inspected. She had one of the inspectors we had......and are very unhappy with their grade. One point was that they didn't have enough progress shown for one of the children.............it was his second visit! ) and the inspector was observing an activity ( shaving foam, children talking about how it feels etc)......the inspector grabbed a bottle of ready mixed paint and squirted it all over the foam, and told the practitioner, 'THAT'S how you extend an activity....like that'.............got a feeling another complaint is heading her way. Good luck with it!

Crikey! Yes she wants to phone up pdq and get her complaint in! I had an inspector a few years ago who told me that it wasn't her role to tell me how to do things, she was just there to see things as they are. I'm ok with that - although it was frustrating at the time, but I would rather be frustrated and work to find out, than have something like that happening!

I'm with Cait on this one, a.s.a.p. It's a pity she didn't ask the inspector to leave the room and have a word in her ear to remind her that as an inspector she is required to inspect and not advise and more importantly she has to treat providers with respect as per the code of conduct.

In 6.3 of Conducting EY Inspections: 'At the end of the inspection the inspector should invite the provider to meet briefly in order to: (3rd bullet point) 'allow the provider to raise any concerns, including those relating to the conduct of the inspection or of the inspector'

Haven't you!

transmogrify

tranzˈmɒgrɪfʌɪ,trɑːnz-,-ns-/

verbhumorous

past tense: transmogrified; past participle: transmogrified

transform in a surprising or magical manner.

"his home was transmogrified into a hippy crash pad"

What happened to it being a child led 'curriculum' and letting the children dictate the pace - and was it really about the 'colour' if they were talking about the texture - she needs to go back to inspecting school and pay attention!  :o  xD

name and shame then if any of us get her we can stop her at the door hehehe...if she's actually allowed to do another inspection that is

Thanks Narnia, thought you were having me on but it really is a word - school and university obviously failed me. I have spent this week turning one of our playrooms into an enormous role play room so will try and use it when I show the staff tomorrow.
