Restarting Tapestry Mobile Apps

Although we work tirelessly to make everything bright and shiny, sometimes apps and the internet can get in a bit of tizzy, and cause some unusual behaviour!  It may be necessary to force-quit the Tapestry app and restart it in these situations to restore normality.

Apple devices have a nice straight-forward way of force-quitting:
1) Double click the home button below the screen (the one with the little square on it)
2) A list of running apps will appear.  Swipe left and right to scroll, until you come across Tapestry
3) Swipe the screenshot of the Tapestry app upwards and off the screen so that it disappears.
Done!  Restart Tapestry.
Android devices aren't quite as easy to force-quit, and each implementation can be a little different, so these instructions serve as a guide to help you find your way:

1) Open Settings, the icon of which will be a cog or some sliders.  There may be a shortcut to this by swiping downwards from the top of the home screen, otherwise you will have to click on the apps icon and then look for Settings

2) Look for the "device" category in the list of items, and click on "Apps" or "Application manager"
3) Swipe left and right until you are looking at a column showing "running" or "all" apps (indicated at the top of the screen), then look for Tapestry and click on it.
4) Click the "Force Stop" button.
That's it.  Go back to the home screen and start the Tapestry app again.
