I have started it with a group of boys who's pencil control is very poor still. They love it and it is such an easy intervention as it only lasts as long as the song. We call ours Happy Hands and do it to Pharrell William's 'Happy' song. Can't say impact yet as quite new.

I use dough disco in Reception as part of fine motor skills workshop. Groups have differentiated activities according to need but all children LOVE dough disco - and I have to say so do I! We have great fun and the children also access and recreate as part of continuous provision. Handwriting this year has been much improved - dough disco has played a part but we also do more formal 'writing' activities too. I haven't heard of pizza massage - how does it work?

pizza massage is a form of peer massage where the children with permission from the child that is receiving it massage each other with pizza moves like rolling out the dough, putting on cheese and mushrooms etc it is good fun and increases motivation and concentration.

OMG Pizza massage sounds like a game I made up when I was 13 and my sister was 3. I used to pretend to make her into a sandwich "you're the bread, lay down now here comes the butter (spreading action up and down her body), here's the ham "splat splat" whilst sort of pushing it down on her (a bit harder than required sometimes ;) ) and then the ... etc etc.
She LOVED it, never thought to do this with the children at work ... hmmmmm.
