Hi -
With apologies for taking so long to set up these sub-forums properly (and thanks to Goldilocks for putting in the welcome that I should have put in), welcome to the 'regional' forums! smile.gif

Before you all shout at me, there is a good reason for the quotemarks around the word 'regional'. I'm aware that I could well upset a lot of people from Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland by calling them regions - however, I'm completely stumped for a term which properly describes them. I could call them the Principality, Dukedom and Province forums, but apart from being a bit long winded, no doubt I'd find people objecting to that as well. So I'm open to suggestions! PM or email me if you think you have a good catch-all title. Just don't send the boys round...

I was asked to set up these sub-forums by a number of members who wanted a place to discuss areas of the early years/foundation stage curriculum which are different from that established in England. Of necessity the FSF concentrates on the English curriculum - some links to pages that describe how things are done in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland are linked to here:

Northern Ireland

Wales (the Foundation Phase)

Scotland

For my part, I look forward to learning more about differences and similarities in approach! smile.gif
