Hi

I've heard of a setting who sing a version of 'two little dickie birds' to send two children off at a time to wash their hands for snack say, and I wondered if anybody knows all the words or indeed anything similar?
Thanks
Deb

Found this.....any help?

Thank you for your replies. Sue what a great website thanks.

We're in the process of trying this rhyme, so very early days, but seems to be working quite well:

Two little dickie birds sitting on a wall
One named Charlie one named Sally
Stand up Charlie, Stand up Sally
Wash your hands Charlie, Wash your hands Sally.

It might seem a little laborious to go through the whole group like this but so far it seems to provide a reasonably controlled transition from circle time to snack. The children seem to be enjoying it. We want to try to rhyme the first line with the second child's name, for our next adaptation. A work in progress.
