This is rather an awkward topic to write about, but i would appreciate any feed back. Does anyone know if it is normal for little girls to sometimes have a little bit of discharge in their knickers.

not an expert but i would say yes.
if itchy though - could be thrush, which is think is fairly common, even in little children
If very smelly and discoloured could be an infection and a cause for concern

thank you for your reply. the thing is it is happening every week on the day she attends nursery. could it be that her clothes are rubbing when she is on the bikes, swings, slide etc. am i being an over anxious grandmother

Hi

I have two daughters now age 11 & 12 and yes it is quite normal. So unless you have any other concerns I wouldn't worry too much.
