Does anyone know where I can find out or does anyone know how book bands match up with EYFSP points? I looked in the old handbook and it says point 7 matches band 3 and point 9 matches band 5 but that is all. Need some clarity!!!!

Hi there MCK, I am happy to be corrected by those with more up to date knowledge, but I think the book bands are really for KS1 and 2. I am not sure how they can really relate to FSP points.

I would also guess that it would depend on the reading scheme, or are the bandings meant to be universal?


Perhaps one of our members who knows more about this can clarify this?

Oh right!! But why are 3 and 5 mentioned in the original FSP document then??

I presumed they were universally standard but don't know a lot about it to be honest!!!

I use some reading records I found on the TES resource site. Hope is attached and I am sure the person who supplied it on TES won't mind.

Pink and red book bands equate to ELGs and possibly some of the yellow band characteristics.
