Hi, everyone this is a fantastic site and extremely welcome since eyfs burst into our lives, it seems to be taking over mine! Ive been on the forum for a while, but have never posted a topic, so please bear with me. I am extremely interested in heuristic play and would like to provide some reasonably cheap materials for the children I supervise, they are aged 18 mths to 30 mths and your help would be greatfully appreciated.

Click here to see a recent thread when jojom posted pictures of her little chap enjoying a treasure basket. Later on she gives a really good list of things to offer.

If you click on the 'search forum posts' at the top right of the screen and type in 'heuristic' you'll be shown a lot of threads about this subject (you might want to start off with the ones with heuristic in the title first though - there are lots of them which are obviously about other subjects but have mentioned heuristic play somewhere).

Have a good look round and see what others think!

Thanks to HappyMaz for helping me with the info I needed I have found a fantastic pdf all about heuristic play, the resources and the info. to help the children, brilliant.

She does tend to come up trumps every time!
