Hi all,

Our topic in reception for Summer 1 will be Animals. I am wondering how best to organise this. I had thought of splitting it off into different 'chunks'. Firstly pet, then farm animals, zoo/wild animals and then maybe water/sea creatures, possibly baby animals - animals in stories?? However I'm not really sure whether this is the best way round. If anyone else has done this topic and has any ideas - either for organising it into a manageable topic or for any activities etc. that worked well - I'd love to hear them.

We will be opening a pet's shop and having a vet's surgery for our role play areas. We're also visiting a local farm.
