Spots on a ladybird--6 spots altogether so 3 on one side and 3 on the other.

I do think you need to make sure children understand that the halves should be the same, not just an apple cut into 2 unequal pieces/ halves. Likewise half full could be inaccurate.

thanks susan

I'm just a little stuck. We have been doing doubling this week and we used ladybirds.

Just wondering what else i could do for halves. Never taught this before.

Just doing my planning for next week and we're doing some halving too. As we've been looking at yeast, bread and by extension baking in general I'm going to have playdough cakes and put half the decorations (counters, buttons, etc) on each cake.
