Hi. I downloaded the PRAMS program back in July in preparation for use in Sept. I had a play around with it and realised it does not fit fullscreen on my netbook. As there is no scrolldown bar I cannot access the bottom of the page and therefore vital links to next page or whatever else that may be there.

I have attempted to change my screen resolution however this is preset and cannot be changed. We are a small pre-school run by a parent committee so do not have an IT department to support me.

Any ideas to resolve this issue would be gratefully received. Many thanks

I have also tried to install it on our main office desktop and although it installed fine it will not open, but shows the message "Cannot find main/launcher core"
It's driving me mad!!!

Hi yaffle, welcome to the FSF and congratulations on making your first post.

Sorry but there is a minimum screen size for PRAMS, this is for design reasons and is not going to change in the forseeable future. PRAMS is a little too big for an 800x600 screen but will easily fit on anything bigger. The proportion of FSF users whose screen is too small for PRAMS is 5.18%, over half of whom seem to be using phones so they are not going to be able to run PRAMS anyway. I feel that this is an acceptable level of compatibility. You have to bear in mind that netbooks are not really intended to do much more than browse the web.

As for the other problem, it sounds like it hasn't installed properly, possibly due to a corrupted download. Can you try uninstalling it, then downloading a fresh copy and installing that? Please let me know how this works out.

Good luck!

I have moved the line on the bottom of the screen (someone help me here) to the side and now I can access the PRAMS buttons.

For me, as a childminder, the whole beauty of PRAMS is that observations can be entered on the spot as soon as made - so the netbook is the perfect venue.

Hi HoneyPancakes,

Nice solution, I hadn't thought of that. That line is called the taskbar by the way.

Thanks everyone for your help. After forgetting to look on here this morning I spent most of the day downloading PRAMS to my home computer then transferring information. When I had done this I decided to delete my post as all was sorted, only to find your suggestions, including the very simple one of moving the taskbar!

I now have PRAMS installed and fully working on the netbook so am dead chuffed and very grateful - I can get started in the morning!!
