Hello,

I am currently a student on the long pathway to EYPS doing my BA Hons Early Childhood Syudies alongside it. I was hoping someone out there who has experience on th EYP programme or BA Early Years would be willing to mentor me. I am struggling due to the fact I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. My tutor has advised me to find a mentor, but as I am the manager of the settng in which I work this is proving to be difficult, I am in a position to pay a bursary for a mentor.

Thanks in advance.

Hi. I don't know if I am suitable to be a mentor as such but I'd be very happy to help you by email if you had any specific queries or things you wanted to discuss. It might be useful if someone who was located close to you could help out as I often find knowing a persons setting can help me support my FdA students better. Would you mind sharing where you are located? And for your info I have experience of EYPS Long extended pathway 15 months but motmot the BA. My degree is in another discipline but I do teach part time on an EY FdA. PM me if you would like any advice or ask away on here and I'm sure you will get a lot of support and advice.

I completed my BA joints hons in early years and childhood studies some 4 years ago but more than happy for you to have my email and to send any queries etc. I am undertaking my EYPS too so I would try and help you were I could.

I am more than happy to just be a friend here though and be someone to bounce ideas off etc though

Hi,

I am sure you will find lots of help and support on here. I am currently doing my EYP long pathway and don't have a mentor (as my workplace was not able to as such). But I have found the help and support from this site great, helping with queries and/or ideas.

Hope the course goes well xxxx
Charly x
