Hi - can anyone tell me how they go about reaching the families who have been identified throught the new birth lists?
Do you do home visits or use the health team?

What do you mean by 'new birth lists'? where do they come from?
The nice thing about living in a small village is that when you don't know what you're doing -someone else always does!

The teahcer at our local CC came to us recently with a list of all the 3 and 4 year olds in our area, she was checking that they had a place at at least one of the settings within the CC area. They know far more than I was aware of.
Not sure I'd be comfortable with everyone and their dog knowing so much about my family, it felt a bit intrusive us telling her if we had children on our register or if we knew what setting they were attending. I know they want to ensure children have access to everything on offer but i still felt uncomfortable. The CC also asked us ages ago to provide them with our register so they could prove that money they were spending (i.e.they have financed some of our resources and training) was reaching children other than those at their setting.

Sorry for hijacking your thread surfer. :o
