Early Years Foundation Stage Training

Course Details:

This one day course is an introduction for practitioners new to delivering the EYFS.

The course will cover the revised EYFS which became mandatory in September 2014.

The training will explore the four distinct but complimentary themes of “A Unique Child”,“Positive Relationships”, “Enabling Environments” and “ Learning and Development”

Participants should bring with them to the training the following three publications:

1. Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage

2. Development Matters in the Early Years Foundation Stage

3. A Know How Guide – The EYFS progress check at two

Aims:

To establish an understanding of what the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage look like in effective practice

To support practitioners knowledge of the EYFS Statutory Framework, the Areas of Learning and Development, The Two Year Old Progress Check and End of Foundation Stage Profile

Suitable for:

This course is particularly suitable for newly qualified practitioners and those new to the Early Years Foundation Stage working in maintained schools, non-maintained schools, independent schools and childcare settings registered by Ofsted on the Early Years Register.
