Accident forms - do parents see comments?
Hi, we're looking at using the accident form feature on Tapestry but would like to understand whether comments added by staff are visible to parents? I can see from the help that you can stop comments being visible to other carers, but it's not clear whether staff comments are visible to all. -

Allergies and Permissions
The management system has some really great features, we currently use Connect Childcare but are keeping up to date with Tapestry improvements with a view to moving over as it develops more. It would be good to have a box to tick if a child has any allergies and then somewhere to write what the allergies are so the staff can all see this. Also a section for permissions would be useful. Our registration form has a number of questions which parents tick yes or no to, for example "can your child have nappy cream applied", "can you child have sun cream applied", Can staff apply plasters", "can you child have face paint".... etc. A printable report for meals would also be useful - one which has the children's names on who are having lunch, grouped into which room they are in. One last thing which I think has already been mentioned, is emergency contacts which the staff can see easily from the register. Thank You -

Check an early years qualification
Early years managers can now use the new digital service Check an early years qualification to quickly verify whether staff qualifications meet the requirements for staff:child ratios in England. The new service can be accessed at https://check-an-early-years-qualification.service.gov.uk/?utm_source=bedford&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=la This free GOV.UK tool allows managers to check a qualification’s approval status by entering key details such as: • course start date • level • awarding organisation At the end of the process, a clear outcome is provided, which can be printed for your records. Why use the new service? Using the new Check an early years qualification service: • saves time during recruitment and HR processes • supports workforce planning ahead of the September 2025 expansion of funded childcare entitlements • reduces confusion when checking qualifications- 1
